This Imperial Porter, a collaboration between Omnipollo and Siren Craft Brew, presents a decadent sensory profile defined by intensive additions of toasted coconut and maple syrup. At a formidable 13% ABV, the barrel-aged character provides a foundation of charred oak and vanilla that supports a rich, dessert-like experience. Expect a robust backbone of chocolate and roasted malts that harmonize with the nutty sweetness of coconut and the earthy, wood-fired notes of maple. The result is a luxurious liquid toast profile where the dark malt intensity of an American Porter is elevated into a complex, lingering, and profoundly viscous masterpiece.
Appearance. Deep ebony to opaque black (40+ SRM) with rich garnet highlights. Pours with a thick, creamy, mocha-colored head with moderate retention and significant oily legs on the glass surface.
Aroma. High intensity with dominant notes of sweet maple syrup and aromatic toasted coconut. Underlying layers of dark chocolate, espresso, and caramelized sugars are bolstered by barrel-derived vanilla and charred oak. Hop aroma is negligible; fermentation esters are low and reminiscent of dark fruit.
Taste. Initial impression is exceptionally sweet and decadent, featuring maple syrup and nutty coconut. The middle palate reveals moderately strong roasted flavors of baker's chocolate and heavy toast. Bitterness is present but balanced low against the high residual sweetness. The finish is long and lingering, echoing coconut macaroons and maple-glazed pecans with a clean, spirituous warmth.
Mouthfeel. Full and highly viscous body with a silky, creamy texture. Carbonation is moderately low. A smooth but significant alcohol warmth is present, providing a coating sensation without any harsh astringency.

Dal colore scuro, quasi nero, con sottile schiuma color cappuccino è robusta e ricca nei sentori; malto tostato, cocco tostato, vaniglia e soprattutto sciroppo d'acero sono protagonisti di aroma e gusto. Una birra calda, avvolgente e complessa, sorso pieno ed appagante.
