A monumental collaboration between Omnipollo, 3 Sons Brewing Co., and Bottle Logic Brewing, Andromeda is an Imperial Stout of immense scale. Sixteen months in Buffalo Trace Experimental Wheated Rye Whiskey barrels transforms the base into a liquid praline, saturated with toasted coconut and fudgy chocolate. The rye whiskey influence provides a sophisticated spicy counterpoint to the beer's dense, syrupy sweetness. At 15.2% ABV, it presents a slow-moving, viscous pour that balances intense roasted malts with notes of vanilla and dark fruit. The result is a decadent, spirit-forward masterpiece that emphasizes a smooth, harmonious interplay between wood-aged complexity and tropical richness.
Appearance. Jet black and opaque (SRM 40+). Pours with significant viscosity, creating thick legs on the glass. The deep tan foam is initially dense but dissipates quickly into a thin ring due to high alcohol and coconut oils.
Aroma. High intensity with a rich blend of toasted coconut, fudgy cocoa, and spicy Buffalo Trace rye whiskey. Secondary notes include vanilla, toasted oak, and dark fruit esters resembling raisins and figs, set against a background of roasted espresso.
Taste. Intensely flavored and complex, starting with a wave of sweet milk chocolate and toasted coconut. The mid-palate reveals the wheated rye barrel's influence through spicy grain and oaky vanilla. Bitterness is moderate but provides necessary structure, leading to a long, warming, praline-like finish that is sweet but not cloying.
Mouthfeel. Full-bodied, thick, and chewy with a velvety, luscious texture. Carbonation is low. Significant alcohol warmth is present and noticeable, reflecting the high ABV, but remains smooth and well-integrated.

Andromeda est grande, audacieuse, épaisse et saturée de noix de coco grillée et de whisky de blé et de seigle. Nous l’aimons beaucoup. Il a fallu presque deux ans pour la fabriquer et après avoir absorbé tout le Buffalo Trace Experimental Wheated Rye Whiskey dans les fûts humides que nous avons recherchés, elle a atteint 15 d’alcool par volume.
