O'Clock Brewing Texto
Texto is a vibrant Hazy IPA that celebrates a collaboration with Les Intenables, showcasing an intense aromatic profile driven by Citra, Cryo Pop, and Cryo Idaho 7. A hazy, straw-colored pour leads with a punch of tropical mango, bright passion fruit, and zesty citrus. The use of Cryo hops amplifies the concentrated stone fruit and sweet pineapple notes while keeping the profile clean and bright. On the palate, the soft, bready malt foundation supports a lush, juicy explosion of fruit, finishing with a restrained bitterness and a smooth, pillowy mouthfeel that invites another sip.
Appearance. Straw to light orange (3-5 SRM). Distinctly hazy with an opaque glow and a brilliant shine. Pours with a thick, rocky, white meringue-like head with excellent retention and lacing.
Aroma. High intensity. Dominated by waves of tropical fruit, specifically mango and pineapple, alongside bright citrus and stone fruit esters. The Citra provides a sharp grapefruit edge, while Cryo Pop and Cryo Idaho 7 contribute deep tropical candy and light resinous notes. Malt is low and bready, serving only as a neutral canvas. No caramel or toast.
Taste. Massive fruity hop flavors mirroring the aroma. Initial impressions of juicy nectarine and grapefruit transition into a mid-palate of tropical fruit bowl. The bitterness is low to moderate, well-integrated and never sharp. The malt flavor is grainy and lightly bready. Finish is off-dry and exceptionally clean, with a lingering tropical aftertaste that lacks any hop burn.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a remarkably soft, pillowy texture. Moderate carbonation provides just enough lift to maintain drinkability. No astringency or raw grain harshness. A very subtle, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present but remains in the background.
