Imperial IPA 8 º
Zhulka is a deceptively smooth Double IPA that masks its 8% ABV behind a vibrant, hop-forward profile. A sophisticated blend of English and German malts provides a clean, unobtrusive canvas for a generous hopping of Citra, Simcoe, and Centennial. The nose is greeted by an intense bouquet of citrus and yellow-fleshed stone fruits, followed by layers of pine and resinous depth. On the palate, the bitterness is firm yet elegant, leading into a crisp, dry finish. This beer balances its potent strength with high drinkability, ensuring the complex hop interplay remains the focus from the first aromatic sniff to the lingering, citrusy aftertaste.
Appearance. Deep gold to light orange-copper (SRM 7-10) with excellent clarity and a moderate-sized, persistent off-white head with fine lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent citrus zest and ripe yellow stone fruit, with nuances of resinous pine and subtle floral notes; malt is restrained, offering a clean, neutral graininess.
Taste. Bold citrus and tropical fruit flavors lead, supported by a distinct piney resin; bitterness is high but well-integrated and clean. A soft malt profile provides a foundation without sweetness, finishing dry with a lingering hoppy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, velvety texture and moderate-high carbonation; light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present but remains very subtle, contributing to high drinkability.
