Moinette Blonde
This Belgian Golden Strong Ale showcases the legendary Dupont yeast house character through a complex, herbal bouquet. Aromas of ripe pear and delicate ginger mingle with peppery phenols and a soft, grainy pilsner malt base. While it presents a full, rounded palate, the finish is remarkably dry and snappy, driven by a firm hop bitterness and high effervescence. The secondary bottle fermentation creates a harmonious balance of fruity esters and spicy notes, hiding the substantial 8.5% ABV behind a refreshing, crisp profile. It remains an elegant, gold-hued classic defined by its signature yeast-driven complexity and herbal snap.
Appearance. Pale gold (4–6 SRM) with brilliant clarity. It features a massive, rocky, and long-lasting white head with exceptional retention and characteristic Belgian lacing as it recedes.
Aroma. High intensity bouquet led by fruity esters of pear and apple. Moderate spicy and herbal hop character with a subtle hint of ginger. Low peppery phenols and soft, grainy-sweet pilsner malt aroma.
Taste. Initial impression of crisp pome fruit followed by peppery alcohol and herbal hop flavors. Grainy-sweet malt is present but secondary to the yeast character. Medium-high bitterness that is snappy and clean. The finish is very dry and lingering with a refreshing, fruity, and spicy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a round, smooth texture. Very high carbonation providing an effervescent, sparkling sensation. Noticeable but well-integrated alcohol warmth without harshness.
