Despite its sessionable ABV, the turbid mash provides a surprising textural richness that supports deep layers of complexity. Intense quantities of aged hops contribute a structured, woody bitterness rather than fresh aromatics, melding seamlessly with the dry, earthy funk of mature Brettanomyces. The extended four-year stay in a 500-liter barrel introduces a striking tannic grip and refined oak character, resulting in a contemplative, vinous profile that balances rustic grain notes with a firm, lingering finish.

Appearance. Deep gold to amber (SRM 7-12) with a slight haze. As a still beer, it lacks any foam, head retention, or lacing.

Aroma. Moderate-high intensity featuring complex Brettanomyces funk including notes of wet hay, leather, and dusty cellar. The aged hops provide an earthy, herbal, and slightly cheesy character. Light bready wheat notes from the turbid mash are present alongside a distinct woody, vanillin oak presence.

Taste. Initial impression is bone dry and earthy. Low bready malt flavor is quickly overshadowed by a firm, woody bitterness from the aged hops.
