LoverBeer Dama Brun-a is a sophisticated Oud Bruin that undergoes a complex 16-month maturation process, featuring a secondary lactic fermentation in oak barriques. The sensory experience is defined by a delicate tension between rich caramel sugar sweetness and a refined, tangy acidity driven by lactobacillus. Deep vinous notes emerge from the extended wood aging, harmonizing with evocative layers of dark fruit, specifically tart cherry and uva sultanina. This wild oak-aged ale balances its malt-forward profile with a subtle, wine-like astringency on the finish, showcasing a mature, multi-layered character that honors traditional Flemish brown ales through artisanal Italian craftsmanship.

Appearance. Deep reddish-brown to dark chocolate brown in color (17–22 SRM). It presents with good clarity and forms an ivory to light tan head with average retention and delicate lacing.

Aroma. High intensity featuring rich caramel, toffee, and burnt sugar malt character. Prominent fruity esters suggest raisins, prunes, and black cherries. A moderate, clean lactic sourness is balanced by a distinct vinous, oaky quality with no hop aroma present.

Taste. A complex 'sweet-and-sour' profile where initial dark caramel and treacle maltiness meets a moderate lactic acidity. Deep fruit flavors of cherry and raisin dominate the mid-palate. Hop bitterness is restrained, allowing the vinous, wood-aged character to shine. The finish is long and mature, with a lingering fruitiness and a touch of tartness.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with low to moderate carbonation. A noticeable but well-integrated alcohol warmth is present. Features a light, pleasant astringency reminiscent of a fine red wine, providing structure without being harsh.
