Long Live Beerworks

This celebratory Double IPA presents an assertive sensory profile defined by its intense hop character. Expect a vibrant display of tropical fruit, citrus zest, and resinous pine, typical of modern American hops used in this anniversary series. At 8% ABV, the beer maintains high drinkability with a clean, supportive malt backbone that provides a soft, grainy foundation without adding heavy sweetness or the weight of a barleywine. The experience is defined by a firm, clean bitterness that lingers into a dry, refreshing finish. It showcases the brewery's focus on hop purity and balance, offering a bold yet approachable anniversary ale.

Appearance. Deep gold to light orange-copper in color (6–14 SRM). Topped with a moderate-sized, persistent, off-white head that leaves delicate lacing. Generally clear, though a faint, modern haze is present.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring a complex blend of grapefruit, ripe mango, and passionfruit, backed by subtle notes of resinous pine and floral spice. A neutral, grainy-sweet malt character remains in the background, complemented by light, fruity fermentation esters and a clean, subtle alcohol note.

Taste. The initial impression is dominated by a wave of hop flavors including citrus peel and tropical stone fruit. A moderately high bitterness is present but remains smooth and devoid of harshness. The malt profile is clean and unobtrusive, allowing the hops to lead through to a medium-dry finish with a lingering, bitter aftertaste and low fruitiness.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth texture. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a lively prickle on the tongue. A restrained, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present, enhancing the beer's substantial character without any harsh hop-derived astringency.
