One morning, the Premonstratensian Fathers that live in the abbey hold a meeting in the refectory on a subject that concerns all the inhabitants of Dinant: how can they avoid the epidemics that spread through contaminated water? After giving the subject some serious thought, the monks come to the idea to purify the water through a process they knew only too well: by turning it into beer. Before long, the inhabitants of Dinant have the pleasure of discovering a deep, dark brown beer, and thousands of pilgrims passing through are more than happy to sample the monks’ hospitality. Leffe Brown was born.
“Leffe Brown’s soft, deep brown colour and the perfect balance between a discreetly bitter yet slightly caramelised taste can be ascribed to age-old traditions. Hints of coffee and chocolate provide this beer with an even more desirable flavour. Elaborada por la abadía Leffe desde 1240, ha sabido convencer e imponerse como una referencia al cabo de los años y actualmente se vende hasta en China.
La Leffe Blonde se ornamenta en la copa con un bonito color rubio cobrizo y está coronada por una cerveza cremosa y persistente. Desarrolla una agradable efervescencia, moderada pero duradera.
De la copa emanan aromas maltosos potentes a cereales y a maíz, así como olores a plátano y a clavo.
En boca, presenta una redondez maltosa de caramelo acompañada de sabores afrutados, y un toque especiado asociado a la levadura. También puede percibirse un toque metálico, que precede la llegada del lúpulo.Este desaparece, a su vez, enmascarado por el alcohol que se intensifica al final en boca.
La Leffe Blonde se degusta en cualquier momento del día, especialmente en el aperitivo. Saborea la Leffe Blonde en su copa Leffe tipo balón 25 cl, 33 cl o 50 cl.
