Imperial IPA 8 º
La Superbe ZUKUA is an assertive Double IPA that delivers a saturated tropical profile through its complex blend of Centennial, Late-Harvest Nelson, Bru-1, and El Dorado hops. The aroma is dominated by high-intensity notes of pineapple, lychee, and papaya, creating an inviting, fruit-forward bouquet. On the palate, a thick and creamy body carries flavors of ripe mango and melon, which gradually sharpen into a refreshing tangerine zest finish. This beer balances its significant strength with a smooth, comforting texture, ensuring the bold hop character remains the centerpiece while avoiding any harshness or excessive malt weight.
Appearance. Deep gold to light amber (7-9 SRM) with a persistent, creamy white head; displays a moderate haze consistent with heavy dry-hopping.
Aroma. High intensity; prominent aromas of crushed pineapple, passion fruit, and melon from Bru-1 and El Dorado, complemented by the gooseberry notes of Late-Harvest Nelson and a touch of floral Centennial; low neutral malt in the background.
Taste. Initial rush of tropical fruit including mango and papaya; moderate-high bitterness provides structure without being harsh; neutral, slightly bready malt supports the hops; finishes with lingering tangerine zest and a clean, dry clip.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a notable creaminess and smooth texture; moderate carbonation provides a soft lift; contains a gentle, well-integrated alcohol warmth befitting its strength.
