La Superbe

This DDH West Coast IPA presents a striking sensory profile defined by its assertive hop-forward character. At 7% ABV, it balances potency with a crisp, dry finish. The double dry-hopping process elevates the intensity of the Simcoe, Wai-Iti, and Mosaic hops, delivering a complex bouquet of resinous pine, bright citrus, and lush stone fruits like apricot. Mosaic contributes a distinct berry-like quality, while Wai-Iti enhances the stone fruit presence. The mouthfeel is medium and smooth, supporting a firm bitterness that lingers pleasantly. Clean, grainy malts provide a subtle foundation, allowing the nuanced hop interplay to remain the central focus of this American IPA.

Appearance. Radiant medium gold with brilliant clarity. Pours with a thick, persistent white head that leaves significant lacing on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity hop-driven aroma. Prominent notes of resinous pine and grapefruit from the Simcoe hops, blended with peach and apricot aromatics from the Wai-Iti. Mosaic adds layers of blueberry and tropical mango. Very low, clean, grainy malt presence.

Taste. The initial impression is a punch of hop flavor featuring pine, citrus zest, and ripe stone fruit. Medium-high bitterness is sharp but clean, consistent with the West Coast profile. Malt flavor is low, providing a neutral, crackery base. Finishes very dry and crisp with a lingering hoppy aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly crisp texture. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a refreshing bite. A light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present.
