The bitterness is kept low and integrated, allowing the earthy, herbal, and slightly spicy notes of Galena and Willamette hops to round out the profile without dominating. On the palate, the experience is notably velvety and smooth, with a clean fermentation character. This traditional approach results in an approachable, harmonious beer where the malty sweetness and delicate hop character reach a refined, subtle equilibrium.
Appearance. Deep copper with reddish highlights (14-16 SRM). Clear to brilliant clarity with a moderately large, off-white head that demonstrates good retention and fine lacing.
Aroma. Moderate intensity with a rich malt focus. Prominent notes of toasted bread, light biscuit, and a touch of caramel. Hop aroma is moderately low, featuring earthy, herbal, and woody characteristics. Fermentation is clean with negligible fruity esters.
Taste. Initial malty sweetness with flavors of toasted grain, honeyed caramel, and bread crust. Hop flavor is low to moderate, contributing herbal and spicy notes from the kettle additions. Bitterness is moderate-low and well-integrated into the malt backbone. The finish is smooth and medium-dry with a lingering toasty aftertaste.
