The sensory profile is defined by a decadent fusion of toasted toffee and dark fruit, balanced by an intricate hop quartet of Fuggles, Sovereign, Styrian, and Cascade. Appearance. Deep coppery-brown with mahogany highlights (SRM 16). Thick, creamy, off-white head with excellent retention and persistent lacing. Brilliant clarity.

Aroma. Moderate to high intensity. Prominent malt character of rich caramel, toasted bread, and a hint of cocoa. Hop aroma is a complex blend of earthy spice, floral notes, and a touch of citrus. Moderate fruity esters resembling dried dark fruits.

Taste. Initial malty sweetness with layers of burnt sugar, toffee, and toasted biscuit. Hop flavor is moderate, displaying herbal and citrusy qualities. Bitterness is firm and well-integrated, balancing the residual sweetness of the Crystal malts. The finish is medium-full and satisfyingly smooth, with lingering notes of dark fruit and toasted grain.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a velvety, mouth-coating texture. Moderate carbonation provides a gentle sparkle. Noticeable but well-integrated alcohol warmth. Very smooth with no perceptible astringency.
