Appearance. Deep mahogany to dark reddish-brown (18–22 SRM). Hazy and nearly opaque due to bottle conditioning, topped with a small, creamy, off-white to light tan head with moderate lacing.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity. Rich malt aromas of toffee, chocolate, and a distinctive smoky, burnt wood character. Prominent fruity esters featuring ripe peaches, plums, and banana bread. A light earthy and citrus hop note from Poperinge hops is present alongside a subtle yeasty zip.
Taste. Initial impression of gentle malt sweetness with layers of caramel and milk chocolate. The mid-palate features a singular smoky dark malt presence and sweet peach flavors.
