This celebratory Gyle 1000 Double IPA offers an intense sensory journey, balancing massive hop saturation with a velvety foundation of Extra Pale malt and Oats. The aroma is a complex tapestry of tropical passionfruit and dank resin, driven by Simcoe and Strata. On the palate, Idaho7 provides bright stone fruit and apricot notes, while Sabro Cryo introduces a unique hint of coconut and cream. Despite its 10% ABV, the Opshaug Kveik yeast ensures a clean fermentation, allowing the aggressive bitterness to remain smooth. It finishes dry with a lingering piney warmth, characteristic of a powerhouse Double IPA.

Appearance. Deep gold to light orange-copper (7-9 SRM) with a slight haze from the high protein content. It features a moderate-sized, persistent, off-white head with excellent lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop character featuring prominent notes of passionfruit, pineapple, and apricot, layered over resinous pine and a hint of coconut. The malt is supportive and neutral with a faint grainy sweetness. Clean fermentation profile with a light, pleasant orange ester and a subtle, well-integrated alcohol presence.

Taste. An initial explosion of tropical and stone fruit flavors including mango, berry, and apricot. The bitterness is high but remarkably smooth, lacking any harshness. A lean, supportive malt backbone with a soft, creamy texture leads to a dry finish. The aftertaste is long and resinous, highlighting pine and citrus zest with a warming alcohol presence.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a smooth, almost creamy texture from the oats and dextrin. Carbonation is moderate. A noticeable but restrained alcohol warmth is present, without any hop-derived astringency.

Celebration time once more. We've reached our 1500th brewday. Or 'gyle', as the cool kids call it. 🎉🥳 That means we've been pushing and pulling malts and hops and ice cream through the ol' trusty stainless tanks for quite a while now. And you've been kind enough to join us for the ride, sometime through quite some dangerous times. 🤗 Such grand occasion deserves a heavy monster of a beer - PHI PHI PHI. This rendition of the Triple IPA is again powered by hearty kveik activity, fed tons of hops and Phantasm Powder for too many times. Hence, TDH. We did the math (maybe). 🤞 Big Vista hops hit on the hot side, solid and herbal and fruity, leaving a perfect canvas for an aggressive session of dry-hopping with hand selected Citra, New Zealand Cascade, Superdelic and a hefty jug of Nelson Maui Hop Kief. A huge green punch packed with tropical fruit goodness and full, fleshy citrus, notes of overripe white peach and canned pineapple galore, mixed in with underripe gooseberry, with a certain spicy zing and a warm, embracing finish. The works. 💣💣
