Hathor Foreign Extra Stout offers a robust sensory experience centered on deep-roasted grains and a refined dryness. This Foreign Extra Stout pours with a dense, creamy beige head, releasing a sophisticated bouquet of dark chocolate and lightly burnt coffee. On the palate, the toasted malt character is prominent, showcasing notes of roasted grain and subtle dried fruit esters reminiscent of raisins. While balanced by a firm bitterness, the beer remains exceptionally drinkable with a crisp, dry finish. At 7% ABV, it provides a gentle, well-integrated warmth that enhances its medium-full body, making it an ideal companion for grilled meats or rich chocolate desserts.
Appearance. Very deep brown to near-black (30–40 SRM). Opaque appearance. Large, dense, creamy beige head with excellent retention and thick lacing.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity roast character, primarily coffee and dark chocolate. Low to medium fruitiness suggesting dried dark fruits and molasses. Clean fermentation profile with minimal earthy hop notes and a subtle, integrated alcohol presence.
Taste. Moderate to high roast flavors of coffee and bitter chocolate without harshness. Low dark fruit esters. Medium-high bitterness provides a firm balance to the malt. The finish is moderately dry with a lingering, clean roasted aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a smooth, creamy character. Moderate to moderately-high carbonation. Noticeable but well-integrated alcohol warmth; no significant astringency from roasted grains.
