Goose Blates is a robust American Amber Ale designed for the cooler months, offering a deeper sensory experience than a standard pale ale. It pours a distinct reddish-copper with a persistent, creamy head. The aroma is characterized by a balance of ripe stone fruit, vibrant citrus, and delicate floral notes, underpinned by a solid foundation of caramel malt. On the palate, initial malty sweetness transitions into a medium-high bitterness that provides a structured, firm finish. This winter-inspired ale features a medium-full body and a subtle alcohol warmth at 5.8% ABV, creating a comforting yet refreshing profile that highlights a clean fermentation character.

Appearance. Deep copper to reddish-brown (SRM 13-16) with excellent clarity. It supports a moderately large, persistent off-white head that exhibits good retention and leaves fine lacing.

Aroma. Moderate to high intensity featuring a complex blend of citrus peel and floral hop notes. A prominent malt backbone provides aromas of caramel and toasted bread. Subtle esters of ripe pit fruit complement the hops, with no detectable fermentation byproducts.

Taste. Initial impression is malty sweetness, showcasing rich caramel and toasted biscuit flavors. This is balanced by a moderate to moderately-high bitterness and hop flavors of citrus and floral resin. The balance is well-integrated, though the bitterness is firm enough to ensure a clean finish. The aftertaste is medium-full, with lingering notes of caramel sweetness and hop resins.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a smooth, slightly creamy texture. Carbonation is moderate, providing a gentle prickle. A light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present without any harshness or astringency.
