This Double IPA is an olfactory explosion dominated by a massive addition of Strata hops, delivering a heady mix of grapefruit, tropical fruits, and subtle pear. The addition of Mosaic deepens the profile with layers of juicy pineapple and a complex, dank resin reminiscent of a cannabis plantation. The experience is akin to a tropical fruit sorbet, featuring a full-bodied and slightly sweet profile that transitions into a sticky, resinous finish. Despite the intensity, the neutral malt base remains supportive, allowing the fresh 2020 harvest hops to lead with an aggressive yet multifaceted bitterness.

Appearance. Deep gold to light orange-copper in color (SRM 7-10). The beer displays a slight haze characteristic of modern interpretations, topped with a moderate-sized, persistent, off-white head that leaves significant lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of grapefruit and tropical fruit from Strata, supported by pineapple and a distinct, dank, cannabis-like character from Mosaic. A very low, clean, grainy malt presence sits in the background alongside a faint, clean alcohol warmth.

Taste. The palate is led by a strong and complex hop flavor, showcasing layers of pear, pineapple, and citrus. Bitterness is moderately high but well-integrated, never reaching harshness. A supportive, clean malt character provides a slightly sweet, sorbet-like foundation. The finish is long and resinous with a lingering tropical aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full to full body with a smooth, almost creamy texture. Carbonation is moderate. A noticeable but smooth alcohol warmth is present, complementing the slightly sticky, resinous mouthfeel without being solventy or astringent.
