This luxurious Wee Heavy showcases a deep mahogany hue and a sophisticated sensory profile shaped by over two years of maturation in Nicaraguan rum casks. The aroma is an intense blend of toffee, dark fruit, and heavy rum-soaked oak. On the palate, the use of Golden Promise malt creates a rich, bready foundation that supports decadent flavors of caramel, molasses, and vanilla. Its 12% ABV provides a significant yet well-integrated warmth, perfectly complementing the silky, viscous mouthfeel. Appearance. Deep mahogany to dark brown with brilliant ruby highlights. Pours with a thin, tan head that dissipates quickly into a fine collar. Noticeable legs and high viscosity are evident on the glass walls.
Aroma. High intensity. Prominent scents of toffee, treacle, and rich, bready malt. The Nicaraguan rum cask contributes massive notes of molasses, vanilla, and toasted oak, intertwined with dark fruit esters like raisins and dates. Faint hints of roasted grain and a clean, warming alcohol presence.

Diving Bell 2021 es una cerveza artesana de Galway Bay Brewery. Esta añada 2021 supone la tercera reencarnación de esta Wee Heavy envejecida en barricas de ron nicaragüense. Elaborada con enormes cantidades de maltas Golden Promise y Crystal, tras una larga y fría fermentación con levadura de cerveza escocesa se trasiega a toneles donde reposa durante 2 años y 1 mes. El resultado es una cerveza cálida, potente, compleja, suave y dulce. Ideal para disfrutar con calma en las largas, frías y tormentosas noches de invierno.
NOTA DE CATA: Color marrón muy oscuro, casi negro. Aspecto opaco y capa de espuma fina, cremosa, de color canela. En nariz destacan las notas dulces y especiadas, matices a cacao, caramelo, madera y licor. En boca es suave, con volumen, densa y aterciopelada. Predominan los sabores dulces, a frutas negras y licor, chocolate y madera. Cuerpo medio y baja carbonatación.
12% vol. / 50 cl.
INGREDIENTES: Agua, malta de cebada , lúpulo y levadura.
RECOMENDACIONES: Servir a una temperatura en torno a 12 - 14ºC.
