Пиво светлое с традиционным золотистым цветом имеет приятную и необычайную мягкую хмелевую горчинку с богатыми вкусовыми оттенками-характерный признак Гаффель Кельш и является отличительной чертой сорта от других брендов сорта Кельш. О производителе: Частная пивоварня «Гаффель Бекер & Ко» — пивоварня, расположенная в Кёльне. Предприятие является членом Союза «Кёльнер Брауэрай-Фербанд э. Фао.», подписало Кёльшскую Конвенцию и, в связи с этим, имеет право варить пиво «K?lsch». Самая известная марка предприятия – «Gaffel K?lsch». Первые упоминания о кельнских пивоварах относятся к 1170 году, а первый пивовар “Zum Leysten” находившийся на улице Айгельштайн, что в самом центре Кельна, там, где находится всемирно известный Кельнский собор, начал свою историю в 1302 году. В ту пору Айгельштайн превратилась в настоящую улицу пивоваров, причина тому - соседство с Кельнским университетом, основанным в 1388 году, ну а пиво, профессора и студенты любили во все времена. Вечерами в трактире пивоварни “Zum Leysten” собирались самые передовые люди Кельна-профессора университета, студенты и представители торгового сословия и именно здесь за бокалом свежего хмельного напитка обсуждали политические и экономические в опросы и планировали возможности улучшения жизни в городе. Со временем эта коммуна превратилась в союз и получила название Гаффель, чье влияние на развитие города становилось все сильнее, а в 1396 году союз Гаффель впервые образовали городской совет Кельна, выбрали бургомистра и судей.Именно здесь, 6 марта 1986 года, был издан и подписан канцлером Германии, бургомистром Кельна и 24 владельцами кельнских пивоварен з наменитый закон “О кельнском пиве” (1986) в котором прописаны правила для производства кельша. По сей день, любой кто захочет варить пиво Кельш обязан подписать документ “Кельш-Конвенция”, который обязует соблюдать единые нормы.На протяжении всей своей истории Гаффель Кельш является самым любимым в Кельне. При 24 пивоварах в городе доля Гаффель Кельш составляет почти треть всего кельнского пива.
