Thunderbolt is a vibrant Double New England IPA that showcases a modern, juicy profile driven by a bold dry-hopping regimen. This berry-forward character is expertly balanced by Mosaic, which contributes layers of lush tropical fruit and subtle resin. Appearance. Hazy to opaque pale gold to light orange (6-8 SRM). Topped by a dense, persistent white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of red berries, specifically cherry and strawberry, mixed with candied fruit sweetness from HBC 630. Complementary tropical notes of mango and passion fruit from Mosaic. Low, neutral grainy malt in the background; fermentation is clean with very light fruity esters.
