Coco Lush is a decadent interpretation of a Sweet Stout, presenting as a true liquid dessert. The sensory experience is dominated by an indulgent synergy of toasted coconut flakes and rich vanilla, which layer over a foundation of milk chocolate and soft roasted malt. At 18 degrees Plato, the beer exhibits a profound depth of sweetness and a velvety texture that mirrors the brewery’s pastry-focused intent. The subtle roasted bitterness provides just enough structure to keep the profile from being cloying, while the aromatic coconut provides an exotic, nutty finish. It is a lush, full-bodied experience that prioritizes creamy confectionery notes over harsh roast.
Appearance. Opaque, deep ebony to black (35-40 SRM). Pours with a dense, creamy, tan-colored head that shows excellent retention and leaves thick lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity of toasted coconut and sweet vanilla beans. Supporting notes of milk chocolate, cocoa powder, and a hint of sweetened espresso. Low fruity esters and no detectable hop aroma, focusing entirely on the dessert-like adjuncts.
Taste. Initial impression is very sweet and creamy. Dominant flavors of dark chocolate and shredded coconut meld with a prominent vanilla sweetness.
