Funky Fluid

Coco Lush is a decadent interpretation of a Sweet Stout, presenting as a true liquid dessert. The sensory experience is dominated by an indulgent synergy of toasted coconut flakes and rich vanilla, which layer over a foundation of milk chocolate and soft roasted malt. At 18 degrees Plato, the beer exhibits a profound depth of sweetness and a velvety texture that mirrors the brewery’s pastry-focused intent. The subtle roasted bitterness provides just enough structure to keep the profile from being cloying, while the aromatic coconut provides an exotic, nutty finish. It is a lush, full-bodied experience that prioritizes creamy confectionery notes over harsh roast.

Appearance. Opaque, deep ebony to black (35-40 SRM). Pours with a dense, creamy, tan-colored head that shows excellent retention and leaves thick lacing on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity of toasted coconut and sweet vanilla beans. Supporting notes of milk chocolate, cocoa powder, and a hint of sweetened espresso. Low fruity esters and no detectable hop aroma, focusing entirely on the dessert-like adjuncts.

Taste. Initial impression is very sweet and creamy. Dominant flavors of dark chocolate and shredded coconut meld with a prominent vanilla sweetness. The roasted malt character is mild, providing a gentle cocoa-like bitterness (moderate-low perceived) to balance the high residual sugar. The finish is long and lingering, tasting of coconut macaroons and cream.

Mouthfeel. Full-bodied and highly viscous with a thick, syrupy texture. Carbonation is low to moderate, enhancing the creaminess. Noticeable but smooth alcohol warmth provides a pleasant weight without any harshness or astringency.

A Milk Stout laktóz hozzáadásával készített altípusa a stoutnak. A laktóznak köszönhetően kicsit tejesebb, krémesebb a kortyhatás.

A Stout a porter szárazabb, sötétebb, testesebb erősebb leszármazottja. Színben nagyon hasonlóak, a stoutokban azonban sokkal több a karamellizált pörkölt maláta és a kávés ízvilág, valamint édeskésebbek is. A stout szó első ismert használata egy 1677-ben keltezett, az Egerton Manuscripts-ban talált dokumentumban, amely a sör erősségére utal. 1721-ben használták először a porter nevet egy pörkölt malátával készült sötétbarna sör leírására. A porterek hatalmas népszerűsége miatt a sörfőzők többféle erősségben készítették őket. Az erősebb, jellemzően 7 vagy 8 %-os alkoholtartalmú söröket "stout porter"-nek nevezték, így a stout és a porter története és fejlődése összefonódott.
