Fuller’s Vintage Ale is a masterful Old Ale that exemplifies the elegance of extended maturation. Pouring a deep amber, it greets the senses with a sophisticated bouquet of sherry and cognac, underpinned by the brewery's signature malt complexity. Bottle conditioning provides a refined evolution, yielding scents of toasted grains and the nostalgic sweetness of a cherry Bakewell Tart. At 8.5% ABV, the palate is rich and vinous, balancing luscious toffee and dark fruit notes with a warming, spirit-like finish. It is a harmonious marriage of select annual hops and specialty malts that continues to develop complexity over time.
Appearance. Deep amber to reddish-copper color (15–22 SRM). Clear with a moderate, cream-colored head that shows average retention and fine lacing.
Aroma. High intensity with a complex malty-sweet core of caramel, toffee, and toasted grains. Prominent vinous and oxidative notes of sherry and cognac are present. Fruity esters are moderate to high, reminiscent of dried plums and sweet cherry tart.
Taste. Rich and luscious malt character featuring molasses, nuttiness, and sweet cherry. The initial impression is sweet and full, moving into a complex mid-palate of toasted grain. Bitterness is moderate but softened by age, leading to a long, warming, and slightly vinous finish with lingering dark fruit and toffee.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full to full, chewy body. Low to moderate carbonation. Significant but well-integrated alcohol warmth. Smooth and creamy texture with no astringency.

La Vintage Ale è una birra che Fuller's produce dal 1997 in occasione del Natale. E' una serie limitata, con bottiglie numerate inserite in un elegante scatola di cartone. La birra è una english strong ale dal bel color ambrato intenso  con schiuma fine, cremosa e molto persistente.  La ricetta cambia ad ogni edizione: in questa versione 2019 vengono utilizzati luppoli neozelandesi, in particolare il Wai-Iti che le conferisce delicate note agrumate di limone, mandarino e lime. Anche i malti crystal sono coltivati in Nuova Zelanda, più precisamente nelle pianure di Canterbury, e donano note di miele e pane tostato. Il lievito proprietario Fuller's conferisce le classiche note di marmellata di arancia.

La Fuller’s Vintage Ale è una birra Inglese speciale. Questa bionda Strong viene prodotta in quantità limitata dal 1997 in bottiglie numerate. La Fuller’s Vintage Ale presenta profumi molto complessi, fruttati e speziati; al palato risalta subito la gradazione alcolica importante ma ricca di sfacettature, dove si può percepire il sapore del luppolo, dei malti, caramello e frutti rossi. Il suo finale richiama al whisky; si consiglia di farla invecchiare per altri 4-5 anni dalal data di imbottigliamento, in modo da permettergli di esprimere al meglio tutti i suoi sapori.
