This legendary Imperial Stout presents a decadent tapestry of breakfast-inspired luxury. Aged in bourbon barrels that previously held maple syrup, the sensory experience is anchored by a profound sweetness of rich maple and velvety dark chocolate. Intense aromas of freshly roasted coffee and toasted oak emerge, supported by a sturdy malt backbone of charred grain and bittersweet cocoa. The barrel influence contributes nuanced layers of warm vanilla and spice, smoothing the edges of its significant strength. Bold and complex, it balances the earthy bitterness of coffee with the lush, lingering sweetness of maple syrup for a truly transcendent and harmonious finish.

Appearance. Opaque, inky black (SRM 40+). Pours with a thick, creamy, mocha-colored head that exhibits excellent retention and leaves dense lacing on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity and complex. Dominant notes of rich maple syrup and dark chocolate fudge are balanced by assertive espresso-like roasted coffee. Secondary aromas of toasted oak, vanilla, and a subtle bourbon spirit character are present. Hop aroma is very low to absent.

Taste. Initial impression is deeply sweet and rich with maple and cocoa. The mid-palate introduces robust roasted malt bitterness and intense coffee flavors. The barrel contribution adds layers of toasted oak and vanilla, while the bourbon provides a spicy depth. Bitterness is firm but well-balanced by the massive malt body. The finish is long and lingering, ending with a harmonious blend of sweet syrup and charred grain.

Mouthfeel. Full, viscous, and velvety body. Carbonation is low to moderate. Significant but well-integrated alcohol warmth provides a smooth, glowing sensation. Extremely creamy texture with no significant astringency.

Rich maple syrup, roasted coffee and velvety chocolate meld together in what can only be described as a transcendental drinking experience. EXTREMELY RARE.
