This Italian Grape Ale presents a sophisticated fusion of viticulture and brewing, centered on the bold character of Sangiovese must. The sensory experience is led by vibrant red fruit notes of cherry and raspberry, seamlessly integrated with the rustic complexity of a three-strain Brettanomyces blend. A Belgian yeast base provides a subtle spicy ester profile that dances alongside vinous tannins. This deep-ruby ale offers an evocative profile of dark berries, leather, and tobacco, culminating in a bone-dry finish and high carbonation reminiscent of fine sparkling wine, all while maintaining a delicate, supportive malt backbone.
Appearance. Deep ruby to burgundy in color; light pinkish-white head with moderate retention and fine lacing; brilliant clarity with no haze.
