Dutch Bargain Zuidwester is a vibrant and stormy Belgian Tripel that balances traditional monastic complexity with a modern hop profile. It pours a brilliant deep gold with an effervescent, rocky white head. The aroma is a seamless blend of peppery phenols and ripe esters, elevated by the distinctive citrus and floral notes of Amarillo hops. On the palate, a soft honey-like malt base supports waves of orange peel, clove, and a touch of tropical fruit. The high carbonation and assertive bitterness lead to a remarkably dry, crisp finish, masking the 8.5% ABV with elegant precision.

Appearance. Deep yellow to pale amber (approx. 6 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Features a persistent, rocky, creamy white head that leaves significant lacing on the glass. Highly effervescent.

Aroma. Moderate to high intensity. Complex spicy bouquet of pepper and clove phenols combined with fruity esters of orange, lemon, and a hint of banana. Distinctive Amarillo hops contribute floral and grapefruit notes. Low, grainy-sweet malt and a soft, spicy alcohol presence.

Taste. Initial impression of rounded grainy-sweet malt quickly yields to spicy phenols and fruity esters. Amarillo hops provide a modern citrus and floral hop flavor. Firm bitterness is accentuated by a very dry, clean finish. Aftertaste lingers with spicy yeast character and light citrus.
