D’Equí Queen is a sophisticated Belgian Golden Strong Ale that balances traditional yeast character with a unique malt backbone. While it remains true to the style's spirit, the use of five types of malt imparts a distinctive amber hue and rich sensory cues of freshly baked biscuit and sweet honey. The addition of Summit hops introduces a subtle herbal and earthy counterpoint to the moderate pome fruit esters. At 7.5% ABV, the beer provides a well-integrated alcohol warmth that complements a soft bitterness and a dry finish, creating an elegant, complex, and highly approachable strong ale.

Appearance. Amber color (approximately 9-12 SRM), possessing brilliant clarity and vigorous effervescence. It supports a massive, long-lasting, rocky off-white head that leaves characteristic Belgian lace on the glass.

Aroma. Moderate to high intensity featuring a complex bouquet of pear and apple esters. A distinctive malt character provides notes of toasted biscuit and wild honey. Hop aroma is low to moderate with herbal and slightly earthy qualities from the Summit hops, accompanied by a soft, peppery alcohol presence.

Taste. The palate begins with honeyed malt and biscuit flavors, followed quickly by pear-like fruity esters and a light peppery phenol character. Summit hops contribute a low herbal flavor. Bitterness is soft and well-integrated, significantly lower than the style average. The finish is long and dry with a clean, warming aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium body, feeling lighter on the palate due to very high carbonation and an effervescent quality. Smooth but noticeable alcohol warmth is present without being solventy. No astringency.
