Deep Fried Beers

This Double IPA delivers an explosive sensory experience driven by a massive, multi-layered hop addition. Expect an intense citrus punch from Citra and Citra Incognito, intertwined with the distinctive white wine and gooseberry notes of Nelson Sauvin. The profile is further deepened by the mandarin orange and pine qualities of Eclipse and Waimea, while Nectaron adds a lush, nectarine-like stone fruit finish. A clean, neutral malt base allows these vibrant hop oils to shine against a backdrop of firm bitterness. With a smooth, warming 8.5% ABV, it balances modern intensity with a dry, drinkable finish that highlights the cutting-edge hop technology utilized.

Appearance. Deep gold to light orange color (7-9 SRM). The beer shows slight haze from high hopping rates, topped with a moderate-sized, persistent, off-white head that leaves significant lacing.

Aroma. Intense hop aroma featuring a complex blend of citrus, passion fruit, white grape, and peach. Supportive neutral grainy maltiness sits in the background. Clean fermentation profile with a very light, smooth alcohol note.

Taste. Strong and complex hop flavors of crushed gooseberry, tangerine, and stone fruit dominate from the start. High bitterness is present but smooth and well-integrated. Low, clean malt character provides a minimal backbone, leading to a dry, crisp finish with a lingering hoppy and resinous aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, almost creamy texture from advanced hop oils. Carbonation is medium-high. A noticeable but restrained alcohol warmth is present, without any harsh hop-derived astringency.
