Lift Sesh delivers a vibrant, alpine-inspired hop profile through a robust Double IPA frame. Citra leads the sensory charge with bright grapefruit and lime zest, while Nelson Sauvin adds a sophisticated layer of white wine grapes and crushed gooseberry. Enigma deepens the complexity, contributing notes of red currant and subtle melon. Despite the intensity of these New World hops, the beer maintains a clean, neutral malt backbone that allows the resinous and tropical fruit characters to remain the focal point. It concludes with a dry, bracing finish and a hint of pine, masking its 8.5% strength with remarkable drinkability.
Appearance. Pours a deep gold to light orange-copper with a slight, modern haze. Features a moderate-sized, persistent white head that leaves significant lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by citrus (grapefruit), tropical fruit (passion fruit), and distinct notes of white grape and red berries. Background malt is clean and neutral with a light grainy character. Fermentation is clean with a very low fruity ester profile and a hint of smooth alcohol.
Taste. An initial burst of citrus and tropical hop flavors, followed by a mid-palate of white wine and melon. Malt flavor is low and unobtrusive, providing a soft, bready support. Bitterness is moderately high but smooth, leading into a dry finish with a lingering hoppy and resinous aftertaste. A light, clean alcohol presence is noted without being solventy.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, velvety texture. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a crispness that cuts through the hop oils. There is a restrained, smooth alcohol warmth that is well-integrated and lacks any harsh astringency.
