This elevated American IPA showcases a bold intersection of traditional foudre-aging and aggressive modern dry hopping. The massive 24g/L addition of Riwaka and Rakau hops erupts with saturated aromas of ripe mango, pungent passion fruit, and exotic jackfruit. Despite eighteen months of maturation in oak, the hop profile remains vibrantly fresh, layered over an intricate, funky mixed-culture foundation. The palate opens with a deceptive, flavor-induced sweetness before transitioning into a strikingly dry finish, where lingering tropical fruit notes meet the nuanced tannic structure and wild complexity of the foudre-aged base.

Appearance. Medium gold to light reddish-amber (9–12 SRM). Features a medium-sized, off-white head with good persistence and lacing. Shows a slight, characteristic haze from the intensive dry hopping and mixed-culture fermentation.

Aroma. Intense hop aroma dominated by New World characteristics; prominent mango, passion fruit, and jackfruit from the Riwaka and Rakau hops. A low, grainy maltiness supports the hops, while a notable funky, wild yeast character adds complexity alongside very light, clean alcohol.

Taste. High hop flavor echoing the tropical fruit aromatic profile. Medium-high bitterness is balanced by a perceived flavor-induced sweetness, though the malt presence remains low and grainy. The fermentation character is complex and funky, leading to a bone-dry finish with a lingering, hoppy aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, velvety texture. Carbonation is medium-high. A noticeable but smooth alcohol warmth is present, well-integrated with the foudre-derived tannins and lacking any astringency.
