Luminous gold and slightly hazy, it opens with an inviting bouquet of sweet grainy-sweet malt and vibrant citrus esters reminiscent of orange zest. The signature Achouffe yeast contributes a delicate peppery spice, further enhanced by a subtle, aromatic touch of vanilla. On the palate, light crackery malts balance a soft, honey-like sweetness before transitioning into a crisp, dry finish. Appearance. Deep yellow to light gold (4–6 SRM). Luminous with a slight, characteristic haze. Topped by a large, dense, creamy white head with excellent retention and Belgian lacing.
Aroma. Moderate intensity featuring grainy-sweet malt and faint honey. Prominent yeast-derived esters of lemon and orange zest are complemented by background spicy-peppery phenols and a unique, subtle hint of vanilla.
Taste. Initial impression of soft, crackery malt sweetness with a touch of caramelized sugar. Mid-palate reveals bright citrus flavors and a peppery yeast character. Medium-low bitterness is well-integrated, providing balance without dominance. Finishes dry and clean with a lingering note of refreshing lemon and soft malt.
