Chimay Dorée presents a vibrant sensory profile characteristic of a traditional Belgian Single. Poured from the iconic abbey, it showcases a pale gold radiance and a pillowy white head. The aroma is dominated by the signature Chimay yeast strain, yielding pear and citrus esters alongside a distinct herbal lift from coriander. On the palate, a delicate foundation of Pilsner malt provides notes of honeyed biscuit and crackery grain, which are quickly overtaken by spicy, floral Continental hops. The experience concludes with a crisp, bone-dry finish and a lingering peppery phenol, making this monastic table beer exceptionally refreshing and bright.

Appearance. Medium gold (4 SRM) with excellent clarity. Features a large, persistent, billowy white head that leaves thick, characteristic lacing on the glass.

Aroma. Moderate to high intensity featuring prominent Belgian yeast esters of pear, lemon, and light apricot. Distinct spicy coriander notes blend with peppery phenols. The malt backdrop is low, suggesting light honey and crackery Pilsner malt, complemented by medium-low spicy floral hops.

Taste. Initial flavor is light and grainy-sweet with honeyed biscuit notes from the Pilsner malt. This is immediately followed by a wave of spicy coriander and peppery yeast phenols. Moderate floral hop flavor leads into a firm bitterness. The finish is very dry and crisp, with lingering yeast character and hop spice in the aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with high, prickly carbonation that enhances the dry finish. Extremely smooth with no noticeable alcohol warmth; very refreshing and effervescent.
