This Hazy IPA radiates with a vibrant tropical intensity, driven by a heavy-hitting combination of El Dorado, Cryo Ekuanot, and Cryo Simcoe hops. The addition of a Cryo Pop blend heightens the sensory experience, delivering concentrated notes of pineapple, overripe mango, and stone fruit. A soft, grainy malt backbone supports the massive hop presence without competing, while the fermentation character remains clean and supportive. It presents a luscious, juicy profile that balances a subtle sweetness with a restrained, smooth bitterness, culminating in a refreshing, fruit-forward finish that defines the modern New England style.
Appearance. Deep straw to golden yellow (4-6 SRM) with a significant, opaque haze. A thick, rocky, white meringue-like head sits atop, showing excellent retention and leaving dense lacing.
Aroma. High intensity aromatics lead with mango and passionfruit, alongside bright citrus notes of orange peel and lime zest. Subtle stone fruit qualities reminiscent of peach are present. The malt is understated, offering a clean, bready, and slightly grainy background with clean fermentation esters.
Taste. An explosion of juicy tropical fruit flavors, mirroring the aroma with heavy pineapple and sweet citrus. El Dorado provides a candy-like fruitiness, while Ekuanot and Simcoe add layers of melon and a whisper of pine. Bitterness is low to moderate, providing structure against the soft, bready malt. The finish is off-dry and smooth with a lingering tropical aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, pillowy texture. Carbonation is moderate, contributing to a smooth, creamy sensation. There is no notable alcohol warmth, and the beer is free of astringency or hop burn.
