This decadent Imperial Stout offers a luxurious sensory experience, defined by its intensive 2023 aging in Cognac barrels. The nose is greeted by a rich tapestry of bittersweet chocolate and thick caramel fudge, underscored by the sophisticated vinous notes of the spirit and toasted oak. On the palate, deep layers of roasted malts provide a coffee-like backbone, while the Cognac infusion introduces hints of dried figs and a warming, brandy-like complexity. Its velvety, full-bodied texture carries a lingering sweetness, balanced by a firm roasted bitterness that ensures a harmonious, spirit-forward finish that avoids being cloying despite its dessert-like inspiration.

Appearance. Opaque, jet black (40 SRM) with a thick, creamy, deep tan head that shows moderate retention. Visible viscosity creates distinct legs on the glass when swirled.

Aroma. High intensity with a rich blend of bittersweet chocolate, cocoa, and heavy caramel sweetness. The Cognac barrel provides prominent notes of dried plum, raisin, and toasted oak, alongside a clean, spirit-like alcohol presence.
