This potent American IPA showcases a vibrant collision of Nectaron and Superdelic hops, delivering an intense sensory experience. At 8.4% ABV, it leans into the stronger side of the style, offering a bold profile of tropical pineapple and ripe passion fruit driven by the Nectaron, while the Superdelic adds unique layers of red berry candy and zesty citrus. A lean, grainy malt base provides a clean canvas, ensuring the hop-forward intensity remains the focus. The finish is assertive and dry, balanced by a firm bitterness that emphasizes its modern, high-gravity New Zealand hop-influenced character.
Appearance. Medium gold to deep gold with a slight haze. Features a medium-sized, persistent white head with good lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by pineapple, passion fruit, and stone fruit from Nectaron, alongside red berry candy and citrus zest from Superdelic. Low, clean, bready malt support with a hint of smooth alcohol warmth.
Taste. Initial burst of tropical fruit including crushed pineapple and peach. Hop flavors transition into grapefruit pith and red currants. Low grainy malt sweetness is quickly overtaken by a medium-high, clean bitterness. The finish is dry and lingering with a hoppy, resinous aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly oily texture. Moderate carbonation. A noticeable but well-integrated alcohol warmth is present without being harsh or astringent.
