This Imperial Stout presents a decadent sensory experience, merging the intensity of a high-gravity ale with dessert-like complexity. The presence of roasted peanuts drives a savory, nutty depth that balances the rich sweetness of lactose and creamy vanilla. Generous additions of chocolate and toasted coconut create a multi-layered profile reminiscent of a confectionary treat. Brewed with oatmeal to enhance the velvety, full-bodied mouthfeel, the beer remains harmonious despite its 10% strength. Dark roasted grains provide a sturdy backbone of coffee and cocoa, while the finish is lingering and warm, showcasing a masterful integration of specialty ingredients within a robust frame.

Appearance. Jet black and opaque (SRM 40+). Pours with a thick, creamy, dark tan head with moderate retention and significant lacing. High viscosity is apparent through visible legs on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity with a rich blend of roasted peanuts, dark chocolate, and toasted coconut. Moderate vanilla bean and sweet cream from lactose. Subtle background notes of espresso, charred grain, and low dark fruit esters such as raisins. Alcohol is noticeable but smooth and well-integrated.

Taste. Initial impression is intensely rich and sweet. Deep flavors of roasted peanuts and milk chocolate dominate, followed by toasted coconut and vanilla in the mid-palate. Moderate bitterness from roasted malts balances the heavy lactose sweetness. The finish is long and bittersweet, featuring lingering notes of cocoa and roasted nuts.

Mouthfeel. Full-bodied, thick, and chewy with a velvety, luscious texture enhanced by oatmeal. Carbonation is low to moderate. A significant, smooth alcohol warmth is present but avoids being sharp or solventy.
