This American Pale Ale defies its ultra-low alcohol content with a bold sensory profile driven by a heavy-handed application of Centennial, Amarillo, Columbus, Cascade, and Simcoe hops. Appearance. Deep amber to copper (SRM 9-12). Off-white head with moderate retention and light lacing. Generally clear with a slight copper hue.
Aroma. Moderately high hop intensity featuring prominent grapefruit, pine, and orange peel from Centennial and Simcoe. Columbus provides a dank, earthy undertone, while Amarillo adds subtle stone fruit esters. Malt aroma is moderate, showing notes of toasted bread and faint nuttiness. Clean fermentation.
Taste. Immediate hit of hop-derived citrus and resinous pine. The bitterness is firm and assertive, leaning towards the dry side. Malt flavors of biscuit and light crystal malt provide a thin but necessary foundation. No significant alcohol presence. Finish is crisp, dry, and distinctly bitter with a lingering herbal hop note.
Mouthfeel. Light body, verging on thin due to the low gravity. Moderate to high carbonation provides a crisp, refreshing bite. No alcohol warmth. Smooth finish with a slight hop-derived astringency.
