Lost is a modern German Pils that reimagines tradition through a sustainable lens. Utilizing surplus fresh bread in the grist, it offers a distinctive doughy and toasted cracker malt foundation. This crisp profile is accented by a vibrant, floral hop character that introduces unexpected yet pleasant stone-fruit notes like peach and apricot. As a refined German Pils, it remains light and brilliantly clear, delivering a sharp, refreshing bitterness that cuts through the bready sweetness. The finish is remarkably dry and clean, leaving a lingering trail of herbal spice and mineral crispness that defines its planet-first character.
Appearance. Brilliant straw to pale gold (2–3 SRM) with a tall, creamy white head that exhibits excellent retention and fine, delicate lacing.
Aroma. Moderate intensity with a balance of flowery and spicy hops. The malt profile is notably doughy and bready, attributed to the surplus bread in the mash, with light honey and toasted cracker notes. A clean fermentation profile is punctuated by subtle stone-fruit esters.
Taste. An initial impression of grainy and doughy malt is quickly overcome by a firm, medium-high hop bitterness.
