This massive Imperial Stout delivers a decadent sensory experience reminiscent of a fresh-baked cinnamon roll. A deep, caramel-toned malt base supports intense aromatics of toasted oak and bourbon from its time in Old Fitzgerald, Heaven Hill, and Elijah Craig barrels. The palate is dominated by a spice-forward opening of Vietnamese cinnamon and woody cassia bark, which seamlessly transitions into a lush mid-palate of Madagascar vanilla beans and marshmallow-driven vanilla frosting. As the liquid warms, the 14% ABV provides a significant but smooth warmth, melding with the rich chocolate and coffee notes of the dark malts for a complex, dessert-like finish.
Appearance. SRM 40+. Jet black and completely opaque. A thin, dark tan head fades to a persistent ring, leaving heavy oily legs on the glass that highlight the beer's extreme viscosity and high alcohol content.
