Boon Oude Geuze er en øl, der traditionelt er brygget i Belgien af Boon Brewery i Lembeek.
Den spontane gæring og 2 års modning på egetræsfade giver Boon Oude Geuze en helt speciel champagneagtig smag. Øllet har en gylden gul farve og et alkoholindhold på 7 % i volumen. Boon Oude Geuze blandes med ung og gammel fermenteret lambic og derefter anvendes en champagnemetode. Det gør denne Geuze til en sand klassiker. Smagen består af let frugt og eftersmagen er lang og bitter.
Hvert år udgiver Boon-bryggeriet en ny udgave, så du hvert år kan købe en udgave af det pågældende år. Den er lækker at drikke til fisk og skaldyr, og det anbefales at servere den ved en temperatur på tolv grader celsius.

Brouwerij Boon è un birrificio dedicato alla produzione di birre a fermentazione spontanea, indubbiamente riconosciuto come uno dei più capaci. Situato a Lembeek, al confine tra le Fiandre e la Vallonia, Boon produce Geuze, Oude Geuze, Kriek, Oude Kriek, Faro e Framboise, che vantano numerosi premi in tutto il mondo.
La produzione di Boon inizia ufficiosamente nel 1975 quando Frank Boon, birraio e miscelatore, acquista il Geuzesteker di Renè De Vits. Nel 1978 inizia l’acquisizione e il processo di rinnovamento dell’impianto, che culmina nel 1982 con il trasloco in un magazzino nel centro di Lembeek. Dopo un periodo nel quale Frank Boon si dedica alla selezione e alla miscelazione di lambic, nel 1990 inizia l’attività produttiva di Brouwerij Boon, che trova un grande e positivo riscontro nel pubblico.
Nel 2010 il birrificio si estende raggiungendo una capacità produttiva di 21000 hl annui e diventa l’attività con lo stock e la cantina di botti in rovere più grande del mondo. Le birre di Boon hanno ricevuto importanti riconoscimenti a livello mondiale, come le medaglie d’oro nei concorsi World Beer Cup e Brussels Beer Challenge.

Oude Geuze Boon is a monument of taste with an alcohol content of 7%. It?s a magnificent blend of 90% mild 18 month-old lambic, 5% strong 3 year-old beer and 5% very young lambic, which provides fermentable sugars and wild yeasts. All our beers are aged in oak casks, mixed in a vessel of 25,000 litres and chilled. Before bottling, we bring the mix to fermentation temperature. The bottles are then placed in an air-conditioned room, which leads to a secondary fermentation in the bottle. This is when the lambic becomes gueuze. After several months of aging in the bottle, the gueuze develops its delicate flavour. Want to know the bottling date? Simply subtract 20 years from the ?best before? date! Taste carefully and you will uncover a fruity grapefruit and ginger flavour with a hint of Muscat grapes. You?ll be pleasantly surprised by the wholehearted body and the sublime finish ? an explosion of Germanic and Romance cultures.
