Brouwerij Boon is een van weinige overgebleven traditionele lambic brouwers, een redelijk zurig bier dat verkregen wordt door spontane, in de lucht zwevende, gisten. Lambic krijg je niet zomaar: je moet oude en jonge dooreen mengen om een solide basis te krijgen waarop je verder kunt bouwen.

De Boon Kriek "Mariage Parfait", ofwel het "perfecte huwelijk", maakt haar naam meer dan waar. Zo bestaat de Kriek Mariage Parfait bestaat uit zware lambiek van 1 jaar, op smaak gebracht met 400 gram overrijpe echte krieken per liter. Een extra rijping op grote en kleine eikenhouten vaten geeft hem zijn speciale smaak. Met een alcoholgehalte van 8% per volume is het een doorleefd bier dat zorgvuldig genoten moet worden.
