BeschrijvingGeuze Mariage Parfait is een ongezoete en ongefilterde Oude Geuze. Dit mengsel wordt eenmalig per jaar gemaakt van verschillende grote vaten Lambic van 3 jaar oud. Na een rijping van 6 tot 12 maanden in de fles geeft dit een bijzondere Oude Geuze van 8% alcohol.Deze drie jaar oude Lambic heeft een bijzondere smaak met toetsen van citrus, houtaroma’s en fenolische componenten. Wijnzuren en de smaak van jonge appels ronden het geheel af.Zoals bij alle Oude Geuzes is de houdbaarheid zeer lang. De smaakevolutie zal zeer complex zijn over de jaren heen.

At Boon, it’s all about balance, so in order to provide the Old Style Geuze Mariage Parfait with enough body to withstand the abundance in different flavors, the especially brewed Lambics have a high degree of fermentation resulting in an alcoholic content of 8% Alc.Vol.

Pour slowly in 2 dry flute glasses without disturbing the yeast sediment in the bottle and enjoy this epitome of traditional Lambic brewing. The end result is a refined combination containing the fruitiness of lime zest and tangerine, smooth vanilla, slightly tart, palate refreshing acidity and a warming mouthfeel. Boon Geuze Mariage Parfait is unsweetened, unfiltered and unpasteurized. To complete the perfect marriage, it is bottle conditioned and can be stored up to 20 years. "Boon Geuze Mariage Parfait has an alcohol content of 8%. It consists of 95% mild lambic, aged at least three years and specially reserved for this purpose, and 5% young lambic. The latter provides the fermentable sugars and wild yeasts. After mixing in a vessel of 25,000 litres, the wort (unfermented mixture) is filtered and chilled. If we are bottling, we bring it back to fermentation temperature. The bottles are placed in a climate-controlled space for the secondary fermentation. This is followed by maturing at low temperature for at least 6 months. Want to know the bottling date? Simply subtract 20 years from the “best before” date! BOON Gueuze Mariage Parfait has been elected best beer in the category "Belgian-Style Dark Sour Ale".
Elected by the International Beer Competition WBC(World Beer Cup) 2010.

This geuze pours a hazy orange gold color from a cork finished 375 ml bottle. Large sized white foamy head, with good long lasting lacing. Aroma is leather and must, sweet and sour with barnyard and horse blanket. A medium to full bodied geuze. Tart and funky flavors blended with barnyard and must. Some old books, apples, lemons and peaches. Despite all the funk, and this one is really funky, make no doubt about it, there is a nice malt backbone. Lively carbonation. A funky, tart and sout geuze, it is not as dry as the ‘regular’ geuze. Lots of stuff going on in this one. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is crisp and dry. Aftertaste is tart and funky.
