Blanche de Namur is an elegant Witbier that pours a milky straw-yellow, reflecting its traditional use of unmalted wheat. The aroma is a delicate dance of zesty Curaçao orange peel and peppery coriander, supported by a soft, bready malt base. On the palate, it is exceptionally mellow and round, offering a refreshing citrus acidity that balances subtle, floral hop notes. The finish is crisp and clean, with a lingering hint of spice. Appearance. Straw yellow (2-4 SRM). Very cloudy with a milky, colloidal turbidity. Dense, fine, white moussy head with excellent retention and rounded lacing.
Aroma. Moderate intensity. Dominant zesty, citrusy orange and spicy, lemony coriander. Low bready maltiness with faint honey-like sweetness. Subtle floral and herbal notes with a very light lactic tang.
Taste. Initial impression is refreshing and slightly acidic. Smooth, bready malt and grainy wheat flavors lead, followed by moderate citrus fruitiness from orange peel. Balanced by subtle coriander spiciness and low hop bitterness. The finish is dry, crisp, and clean with a lingering spice and a hint of tartness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a characteristic powdery, creamy consistency. High carbonation provides an effervescent, lively sparkle. No alcohol warmth. Exceptionally smooth and thirst-quenching without astringency.
