This American Barleywine offers a profound sensory experience, defined by its intensive aging in Buffalo Trace and Barton 1792 bourbon barrels. The aroma is a luxurious tapestry of toasted malt, rich vanilla, and charred oak, interwoven with the distinct, earthy sweetness of maple syrup. On the palate, a bold malt backbone meets the spirituous complexity of the bourbon barrels, providing layers of caramel and dark sugar balanced by a firm, resinous hop bitterness. The high alcohol content delivers a sophisticated warmth that lingers alongside notes of maple and wood tannin, creating a viscous, contemplative sipper with remarkable depth and a velvety finish.

Appearance. Deep copper to mahogany (16–18 SRM) with brilliant clarity and ruby highlights; features a low, light tan head with modest retention and prominent legs on the glass wall.

Aroma. High intensity; dominant aromas of rich caramel and toasted bread are layered with vanilla, coconut, and bourbon notes from the Buffalo Trace and Barton 1792 barrels. Subtle resinous hop character and a distinct maple sweetness complement low fruity esters.

Taste. Initial malt sweetness leads to flavors of toffee and maple syrup, quickly followed by assertive bourbon-soaked oak and vanilla. The bitterness is firm and clean, balancing the dense malt and 12% ABV. The finish is long and warming, showing a complex interplay of spirituous alcohol and lingering wood-derived tannins.

Mouthfeel. Full-bodied and exceptionally chewy with a luscious, velvety texture; carbonation is low to moderate, accompanied by a significant but smooth alcohol warmth without being solventy.
