Taste. Initial impression of rich, bittersweet chocolate and savory peanuts. The malt profile includes burnt grain, coffee, and toast, while vanilla adds a smoothing sweetness. Moderate-high bitterness and 12% alcohol are balanced by the high residual extract. Low hop flavor. The finish is long and lingering with roast and a nutty aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Very full-bodied, thick, and chewy with a velvety, luscious texture. Strong alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated. Low to moderate carbonation.
