Appearance. Deep copper to bronze-orange with brilliant clarity. Supports a thick, creamy, and long-lasting off-white head that leaves consistent lacing.

Aroma. Moderate to moderately-high malt intensity featuring rich notes of baked bread and toasted bread crusts. A spicy and floral hop character from the Noble and Saaz varieties is present at moderate levels. The fermentation profile is very clean with no significant esters.

Ecco la "Birra Vecchia" (Alt Bier), come veniva fatta una volta a Dusseldorf, malto scuro e lievito ad alta, senza tonnellate di luppolo.

Il colore è un ramato carico, la schiuma a grana fine è biancastra e mediamente persistente. Al naso è maltata, miele, pane, biscotto. Al palato anche il luppolo da il suo contributo regalando toni erbacei. Il corpo è esile, la carbonazione bassa. Il finale è erbaceo, leggermente acidulo e mediamente persistente. L'alcool ovviamente non si sente.

Solo un difetto: una bottiglia non basta!
Ogni tanto tornare alle origini fa bene, ti dona serenità, e ti fa apprezzare le cose semplici (ma buone) di una volta.
