This Imperial Stout, a collaboration with Klere Boght, presents an indulgent sensory profile defined by its massive 11.4% ABV and hazelnut integration. The experience begins with a deep, dark chocolate and espresso malt base, which serves as a canvas for the oily, toasted richness of the hazelnuts. Layers of black cherry and raisin esters emerge mid-palate, characteristic of the style, while the hazelnut addition provides a decadent, praline-like sweetness. A smooth, velvet-like warmth permeates the finish, balancing the roasted bitterness with a lingering nuttiness. It is a harmonious marriage of traditional burnt-grain complexity and modern dessert-leaning adjuncts, creating a lush, sophisticated sipper.

Appearance. Jet black and opaque (40 SRM). Topped with a dense, dark tan head that shows moderate retention and leaves viscous legs on the glass, likely due to high alcohol and hazelnut oils.

Aroma. High intensity. Rich roasted malt character featuring bittersweet chocolate, cocoa, and heavy espresso. Prominent toasted hazelnut aroma dominates, accompanied by low dark fruit esters like plum and raisin. Alcohol is noticeable but clean.

Taste. Bold initial flavors of dark chocolate and roasted grain. The hazelnut flavor is intense and decadent, providing a praline-like sweetness.
