This American Amber Ale presents a classic, robust interplay between specialty malts and punchy New World hops. A foundational malt profile of toasted grain and deep caramel provides a sturdy, sweet backbone, while a vibrant hop presence—characterized by resinous pine and bright citrus zest—offers a firm, assertive counterpoint. At 6.3% ABV, it sits at the stronger end of the style, providing a subtle, well-integrated warmth that enhances its medium-full body. The fermentation character is clean, allowing the contrast between sticky malt depth and a lingering, pithy bitterness to take center stage through a smooth, drying finish.

Appearance. Deep copper to reddish-amber in color (14–17 SRM). The beer is brilliant with high clarity, topped by a moderately large, persistent off-white head that leaves consistent lacing on the glass.

Aroma. Moderate intensity with a balance of toasted bread and rich caramel maltiness. Hop character is moderately low, featuring notes of grapefruit peel and woodsy pine. Fermentation is clean with very low fruity esters and an absence of roasted or diacetyl notes.

Taste. Initial impression is of malty sweetness with flavors of caramel and biscuit, quickly met by a moderate to moderately-high bitterness. Hop flavors of citrus and resinous spruce are evident mid-palate. The balance leans slightly toward the hops while maintaining significant malt depth, concluding with a medium-full finish and a lingering, clean bitterness.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a smooth, slightly creamy texture and moderate carbonation. A light, pleasant alcohol warmth is detectable due to the 6.3% ABV. No harshness or astringency is present.
