Basqueland Summertime is a refreshing, contemporary take on the American IPA, crafted for high sessionability. A vibrant haze sets the stage for an explosive bouquet of tropical fruit, driven by a heavy-handed dry-hop of Mosaic, Citra, and Motueka. The Mosaic Cryo enhances the aromatic intensity, delivering concentrated notes of mango and blueberry, while the Motueka adds a distinctive lime zest sparkle. Despite its lighter 5.2% frame, it maintains a juicy hop presence and a clean, supporting malt profile. A crisp bitterness provides a refreshing finish that invites another sip under the sun.
Appearance. Medium gold with a prominent, persistent haze and a medium-sized, frothy white head that exhibits good persistence and lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of mango, passion fruit, and citrus from the Citra and Mosaic. A bright, lime-like accent from Motueka adds a fresh edge. Clean, low grainy maltiness supports the fruit-forward presentation.
Taste. Hop-forward flavors of tropical fruit and citrus dominate the initial impression. A medium-high bitterness is well-integrated, leading to a dry, crisp finish. Low grainy malt provides a subtle backbone, while the Mosaic Cryo imparts a lingering, resinous fruit aftertaste.
